For Mac OS users, there is a system setting that may not allow you to tab onto several types of elements in a web page. To change this setting:
Mrs. Jenn Barnes is Curtisville Primary Center's School Counselor. Mrs. Barnes's role, as an elementary school counselor is to provide support, consultation, and intervention strategies to help students, teachers, and families minimize barriers to education.
Ways of providing this support will consist of working with children in classroom instruction, small groups, and one-on-one intervention. Social skills, conflict management, emotional regulation, self-awareness, bullying prevention, friendship skills, and school success are a few of the developmental guidance lessons that will be provided for students through small group and/or classroom instruction.
In addition, the student assistance program will be offering focus groups such as changing families, grief/loss, and anger management for students with needs in these areas.
Parents or students wishing to speak to or meet with Mrs. Barnes are encouraged to contact her at any time.

Curtisville K-2 Kindness Kids Club Spread Kindness To Our Safety Day Volunteers!
Our CV Kindness Kids Club from each homeroom participated in their first Service Project for the year. They decided to make "care packages" for all the West Deer first responders who volunteered their time for our Safety Day. Their idea was to give back to them by providing a healthy snack they could "take on the road" while keeping our community safe. The Kindness Kids created a sign-up genius account for CV staff to donate selected items for the "care packages" such as apples, oranges, granola bars, bottles of water, fruit snacks, and pretzels, along with some of their favorite candy bars :) The response from CV staff was overwhelming and helped these students fill over 25 bags of goodies for these amazing men and women. The K-2 Kindness Kids decided to decorate the bags with kindness quotes and sayings to sprinkle kindness throughout the community. Our K-2 Kindness Kids Club went "above and beyond" to spread kindness with these "care packages" and cards made with lots of love. So proud of these kids! #bethekindkid
Kindness Links Update: 8464
8,464 Kindness Links as of March 2020!
WAY TO GO CURTISVILLE PRIMARY !!! We are so proud of our students for sprinkling kindness throughout the building!
Weekly Fun Friday Winners
Every week, all students are spreading kindness and earning tons of Kindness Links for their homerooms. We try to focus on our weekly theme to spread kindness. On Mondays, the KIndness Link totals for each homeroom are turned into the office and the weekly homeroom winners are announced. Homerooms have the opportunity to win for having the most Kindness Links earned for the week or earning the "most improved" award for increasing the number of kindness links earned for that week compared to the previous week. We choose a winner from each grade level, sometimes more than one homeroom per grade level may win. The winners enjoy a Fun Friday game outside with Mrs. Cavalancia and Mrs. Barnes !! The weather has been very cooperative on our Fun Fridays as we've played Blob Tag, Krazy Kickball and regular Kickball. Ask your kids about their Kindness Links !!!
