Curtisville named one of America's Healthiest Schools
Congratulations to Curtisville Primary’s staff and students!
Curtisville Primary was named one of America’s Healthiest Schools by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation after earning high marks in every category judged by AHG. Curtisville Primary is the only school in Pennsylvania to earn the highest award possible in every category. There were only 66 schools across the country to earn the highest award possible in every category.
America’s Healthiest Schools are recognized in up to nine categories. Curtisville Primary was recognized for:

- · Implementing Local School Wellness Policy

“Being recognized again for an award of this scale reflects our staff’s full commitment to the well-being of every student and they are why this accomplishment is possible,” Curtisville Primary principal Jennifer Cavalancia said. "This is a culmination of everyone's hard work and attention to every student’s success inside and outside of the classroom, and it starts with our attention to their overall wellness.”
Deer Lakes School District Superintendent Dr. Janell Logue Belden called the effort of the Curtisville Primary staff inspiring.
